Our Christmas ski holiday prices include a return Eurotunnel crossing or you can book accommodation only. Prices for our self-catered ski holidays are per apartment (irrespective of the number of guests) and there are no under-occupancy supplements.

Christmas dates
Most of our properties over Christmas will be Saturday to Saturday. The main Christmas week will be Saturday 21st December until Saturday 28th December.
Important information about Christmas school holiday dates
The weeks commencing Saturday 21st December until Saturday 28th December is also the French school holiday week (and some other European countries too). This week will get booked up very quickly. To avoid disappointment call us today to check availability and get your ski holiday firmed up!

Selected properties often offer the chance to enjoy an extra day of skiing at Christmas. For Christmas 2024, some accommodations will be offering 8 for 7, usually arriving on the Friday eve before your stay.

Pre-book your ski extras with Peak Retreats
From accommodation only to a package holiday, you can customise your Christmas ski holiday with additional arrangements.
Ski Extras: ski hire, ski lift passes, ski school and spa treatments
Travel Arrangements: self-drive package, en-route hotels, ski train, private taxi transfers and car hire. Although we don’t book flights, we have flying information for the French Alps.
Christmas Snow Record
Nearly all our resorts have a snow range above 1500m (around 5,000ft). Altitude is, however, not the only important factor.
Microclimate
Some areas like the Grand Massif or Mont-Blanc Val d’Arly benefit from a microclimate because of their close proximity to Europe’s highest peak, Mont-Blanc. These areas have a much more reliable snow record than other resorts at the same altitude or even some higher up.
North-Facing Slopes
Other important factors for good snow are North-facing slopes, as whatever cover they get will simply last longer. What lies below the snow cover is also of importance: a few centimetres will be enough to ski on pasture whereas more will be required to cover a rocky surface.
Snow Cannons
Finally, resorts that have snow cannons to cover the lower slopes (generally the nursery slopes) offer a good guarantee. These will normally run at night from early December to top up on natural snow cover.
